Rainy Season Protocols – Easy Escape Jakarta

Community Trail Walks : Rainy Season

During the rainy season we want to be as open about any weather or risk concerns with you as possible, for this reason we have some rainy season protocols that are active through these wet months. We want to make sure that risk is mitigated to the best of our ability so that you do not have a undesirable experience with us and so that you are not put into any difficult situations.

Please read through our protocols for Community Trail Walks so that you are aware of what may happen before or during your trek:

  • On the morning of the trek, if there are particular weather concerns or issues about the path caused by wet weather (extra slippery for example) we will inform you of them by SMS by 6.15am. We will inform you of conditions to see if you still want to come, or advise you to reschedule for another day. If you don’t receive an SMS from us by 6.15am then assume all is well.
  • During rainy season we are more vigilant on route selection (no river crossings, avoiding landslide areas etc). We do suggest you bring rain gear just in case. Also, if it happens to begin raining during your trek, our guides will endeavour to seek shelter and if necessary find you an appropriate route back to your transport.
